CCD Batch-43 (Session January–June 2027) — please note the following before completing the admission procedure:

1. Full admission procedure will be online for all students.
2. Tutorial sessions will be either online or offline (as in Admission Notice), in morning or evening shift as per students' choice.
3. Offline classes outside Dhaka will be conducted in the morning only.
4. If sufficient number of students are not available at student's selected site, then the mode will be converted to online or offline in Dhaka.
5. After completing the admission procedure, changing mode or shift will not be permitted.
6. Access to online learning material & printed text book are available for all.
7. Carry-on sessions (recovery class for absent students) will be online for all.
8. Workshop and practical sessions will be face-to-face in Dhaka for all.
9. Phase Completion Assessments (PCAs) will be online for all.
10. Final End Course Exam (ECE) will be face-to-face in Dhaka for all.
11. Course fee of 25,000 BDT is to be paid during admission; exam fee (for ECE) of 3,000 BDT is to be paid by eligible candidates before the exam.

His legacy continues to inspire the Distance Learning Program (DLP), ensuring that every doctor trained through CCD carries forward his spirit of service, excellence, and equity in healthcare.

His motto continues to guide the work of BADAS and DLP — reaching every corner of Bangladesh to ensure no diabetic patient is left without care, regardless of their economic condition.

It is my privilege to welcome you to our Distance Learning Program, an initiative by the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh that has consistently contributed to capacity building in diabetes care through the Certificate Course on Diabetology.

In a time when diabetes continues to pose a major public health challenge, the need for competent, well-trained physicians has never been more critical. This program was developed with the assistance from experts of Open University, UK, with the objective of equipping doctors with up-to-date comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in diabetes.

Over more than two decades, we have continuously refined the program to maintain academic rigour while embracing innovations in medical education and technology.

Diabetes has emerged as one of the most important health challenges of our time, creating an ever-growing need for physicians who are well equipped to provide competent, comprehensive and evidence-based diabetes care.

Our six-month course, the Certificate Course on Diabetology by Distance Learning Program, is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and the realities of day-to-day clinical practice. It focuses not only on newer modalities of therapeutic approaches, but also on prevention of diabetes and its complications.

Medicine is constantly evolving, and diabetology is no exception. New evidence, technologies and therapeutic options will continue to emerge. Over this journey, the program has evolved steadily in response to the growing burden of diabetes and the increasing need for well-trained physicians capable of delivering evidence-based advanced care.

From its inception, our vision has been to bridge the gap between rapidly advancing knowledge in diabetology and its practical translation in clinical settings across the country.
